VNA HOSPICE WELCOMES NEW PHYSICIAN: DR. GREGORY R. SONN

APPOINTS DR. GREGORY R. SONN, D.O. AS HOSPICE PHYSICIAN
–Relocating from Ft. Myers, new physician to oversee
VNA/Hospice patients in their homes and in Keys’ medical facilities–
Hospice of the Florida Keys announces healthcare professional Dr. Gregory R. Sonn, D.O. has been named to the nonprofit organization’s team of physicians. Jody Gross, VNA/Hospice President & CEO made the announcement last week. Prior to this post, Dr. Sonn had an accomplished medical career in Ft. Myers as a physician in skilled nursing facilities, heading up health care teams and managing palliative care. He also served as Medical Director at Hope Hospice, followed by a post as Chief Medical Officer at Hope Health Care. Most recently, Dr. Sonn was Vitas Innovative Health System’s Associate Medical Director Dade/Monroe counties, and was responsible for direct patient care for all hospice patients in the northern Keys.
Dr. Sonn will provide medical care to Hospice of the Florida Keys patients at home, as well to its patients who reside at Key West Health and Rehabilitation. Board certified in Family Practice, as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Sonn will also assist VNA/Hospice in implementing other programs to bridge home care and hospice.
