Red Barn Theatre, 319 Duval Street, closes its 2014 theatre season with the wildly funny and ridiculously popular 2014 Edition of SHORT ATTENTION SPAN THEATRE: RANDOM ACTS OF COMEDY.

Five directors, seven plays, and nine actors merge into one extraordinarily hilarious evening. Richard Grusin and the Red Barn McDonald family  — Mimi, Gary, Jack and Amber McDonald Good direct the seven plays.

Gary has directed many successful Shel Silverstein shows at the Barn and directs Sarah Bella and Cameron Zbikowski in a previously unseen Silverstein piece, And Then From Out of the Wall –There Came…

Gary also directs Playwriting 101: A Roof Top Lesson by award-winning Rick Orloff, and starring Karl Stahl, Sarah Bella and Susannah Wells in a story about an instructor lecturing on the craft of playwriting when the fictional characters rebel.

Richard Grusin directs Please Report Any Suspicious Activity by Rick Park about two gay dolphins in the park, and starring David Black, Michael Pallansch and Robin Deck.

Grusin also directs Janeen Gracer and Michael Pallansch in Tall Order by Sheri Wilner, which answers the question when is a porkchop more than a porkchop?

Amber McDonald Good who just completed a successful run of Clybourne Park and has an extensive professional acting resume, is directing the extremely funny Funeral Parlor by Christopher Durang, starring Janeen Gracer and David Black.

Mimi McDonald directs Annie Miners in The Gay Agenda by Paul Rudnick from Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays. A funny, thought-provoking short that opens up the conversation on why gay marriage matters.

A down-and-out Mothra tries to convince a casting agent he is worthy of a part in Mothra VS The Casting Agent: An Allegory by Tony Award-nominated writer David Bar Katz. Jack McDonald directs David Black, Karl Stahl, Susannah Wells and Sarah Bella in this riotous plot.

City Theatre in Miami produces a successful run of short plays every year and generously assisted Red Barn in selections for 2014 Short Attention Span Theatre plays.

Random Acts of Comedy is proudly sponsored by the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservancy.
