National Flight Academy’s “Explore AMBITION Program” Open To Monroe County Students Grades 7 – 12

The National Flight Academy’s “Explore AMBITION Program” is an in-residence world class S.T.E.M. aviation inspired program that incorporates students’ passion for gaming and technology into learning.

The National Flight Academy’s goal is to transform American education so that students can be ready to compete globally using aviation as a basis for learning, thus contributing to a highly skilled workforce.

S.T.E.M. is taught through game playing, hands on missions, and virtual reality simulators provided by Boeing and Lockheed Martin. In its 100,000 square foot facility located in Pensacola, Florida, NFA brings students the latest in multi-sensory media and simulation technologies, coupled with dynamic teaching methods.

The educational program is for 7th-12th grade students. Students will be engaged in the Ambition’s signature S.T.E.M. program.  The team will have full access to Flight Academy facilities including Joint Operations Center (JOC), Joint Intelligence Center (JIC), Ready Rooms, and of course, our state-of-the-art flight simulators. Students will participate in a rigorous and well-planned 5 ½ day immersive training program. Additional activities will include the National Naval Aviation Museum.

The cost to attend NFA [$1,250 per student] and the transportation is provided by the South Florida Workforce Investment Board [SFWIB].  Sending 50 Monroe County students and 50 Miami-Dade county students will cost SFWIB over $100,000.00.
