Montessori Children’s School 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run on Sunday

Montessori Children’s School of Key West will host its first 5K run/walk on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at 8 a.m. The scenic measured course will begin and finish at Higgs Beach and run along the Atlantic Ocean. A half-mile kids “fun run” will follow at 9 a.m.

Registration is $ 25 for adults and $ 15 for children 10 and under. Pre-registration is available on active.com or on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 4-7 p.m. at Montessori Children’s School, 1221 Varela St. Race day registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. at Higgs Beach.

The first 200 5K registrants will receive specially-designed t-shirts. Awards will be given to the overall male and female winner and top 3 male and female in each 5-year age group. All children in the fun run will receive participant awards.
