Monroe County Schools To Close One Day Early On June 5th

 
 

Superintendent Mark T. Porter announced today that following a School Board vote on May 13, Monroe County Schools will have Thursday, June 5 as the last day for students. This is a change from the original date of Friday, June 6. This decision will provide Monroe County teachers with an additional professional development day. All schools who have day care services will offer to assist families with child care needs on June 6. Individual schools will publish information to parents regarding the services available on June 6. VPK and Head Start classes will continue as scheduled with student’s last day being June 6.

High School graduation dates and times remain unchanged.
