Monroe County School Board member Andy Griffiths Elected to Florida School Board Association Board of Directors District 6 seat

Monroe County School Board member Andy Griffiths has been elected to the Florida School Board Association Board of Directors District 6 seat representing Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Monroe Counties. Griffiths joins 25 Florida School Board members on the FSBA Board of Directors. He has served in every executive office of the Association and his colleagues in District 6 unanimously elected him to the post at the FSBA June 2014 conference.

“We are excited to have Andy back with us in a leadership role.” said Dr. Wayne Blanton, FSBA Executive Director. “His board experience is rare in this day and age.”

“I would like to thank my colleagues from Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Monroe for their confidence in me to serve them in this role,” said Griffiths shortly after his election to the board. Griffiths will serve on the FSBA Board of Directors until June 2016.

FSBA is a nonprofit corporation representing all school board members in Florida. FSBA has been the collective voice for Florida school districts since 1930.
