Leadership Monroe County Class XXIII Recruitment and Reception July 24 at the New Islamorada Resort

 
 

Leadership Monroe County invites the public to the next and last of three social receptions to introduce the program for the upcoming Class XXIII which begins in October and meet alumni and Board, Thursday, July 24, at The Islamorada Resort, 80001 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, at 5:30-7:30. 

Applying Class members will learn about the 2014-15 sessions, and the scope, mission and benefits of becoming part of this county-wide program which seeks to build relationships for constructive alliances among Florida Keys leaders in the public and private sectors.

Founded in 1992, the program is aimed at residents who are active in leadership roles in the private sector, government, or nonprofit community. Through a series of one and multi-day sessions, over a seven month period, topics examined include the environment and natural resources, tourism and the economy, government, education, military, the law and judiciary, emergency management, arts and culture, health and human services, as well as leadership skill development. Over 500 Florida Keys leaders have participated in the program since being established.
