Ongoing Events:

Aqua Idol every Tuesday beginning August 26 – October 14, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – come support the candidates’ singers at Aqua Nightclub, 711 Duval Street. 75% of the monies collected will be split among the candidates and 25% would go to the campaign for which the winner is representing. All monies will be donated to AIDS Help. Free to attend! All Candidates

Drag Queen Bingo at 801 Caberet every Sunday from August 24 – October 12, 5:00 PM – Bingo at 801 Bourbon will divide all proceeds equally among the candidates. All Candidates

Friday, August 22, 6:00 P.M. – Official Kick-off Party at the Southernmost House, 1400 Duval St. Meet candidates running for King/Queen of Fantasy Fest. Come check out their performance, get the merchandise, get their event schedules and enjoy the fun. All Candidates

Friday, August 29, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM – All Candidates Bottlecap Happy Hour at the Bottlecap Lounge, 1129 Simonton Street. 50/50 raffles, cash bar, hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment. All bartender tips will be donated back and divided between the candidates. All Candidates

Saturday, September 27, 8:00 AM – Red Shirt Run – 5K Run/Walk at White Street Pier. Refreshments, raffle, limited amount of red thundersticks and red shirt run shirts to be given out. Awards to 5k runners: overall male and female winners, masters male and female winners, age group awards; 3 deep, male and female. Two: 9 and under, 10 – 14, 15 -19 and ten year age group to 70+ 5K walkers male and female, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Race begins at White Street Pier at the Key West AIDS Memorial corner of White and Atlantic Blvd., north on Atlantic, right on Bertha Street, left onto S. Roosevelt (along Smathers Beach) and back to White Street Pier. All miles and kilometers will be marked. Pre-race packet pickup will be Friday, September 26th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM across from the White Street Pier, 1801 White Street. Race Day check-in starts at 6:30 AM. Thursday, October 2nd, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – Tropical Escapades & Trances, the Annual All Candidates Bash at the Bourbon St. Pub, 724 Duval St. Join all of the candidates at this Meet & Greet Party! A $25 donation gets you into the party and the chance to vote for your favorite candidate. This event is always a great boost for moral and the campaign coffers toward the end of a very grueling campaign schedule. Enjoy free tropical drinks while socializing with your friends. Saturday, October 4, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Royal Ball at the Gardens Hotel, 526 Angela Street. Mingle with current and former Royalty. Music by Skipper Kriptiz and his band. Food by the Iron Chefs. Admission $50 per person contact Jeremy Wilkerson, 305-440-2300, for reservations. All Candidates

Thursday, October 16, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM – Key West Innkeepers Association’s Annual All-Candidates Party at TBD. Entry fee is a suggest donation of $10. All proceeds will be split evenly between this year’s candidates. All Candidate

Friday, October 18, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM – The Coronation Ball “Tropical Escapades and Trances”, at the Southernmost Beach Café, 1405 Duval Street. $5 admission gets one free vote. $50 priority seating includes one vote and buffet. For VIP seating reservations, visit www.aidshelp.cc. All Candidates

Sunday, August 31, Time 11:45 AM – 2:00 PM (leaves promptly at Noon) – Guided two hour Kayaking Trip with Lazy Dog Adventures, 5114 Overseas Highway, Hurricane Hole Marina. Join our guide as he winds his way through the blue-green waters of Key West’s back country. Gliding through the shallow water that separates the mangrove islands, you’ll see plenty of marine life like tropical fish, sea stars, crabs and aquatic birds.
