Congressman Joe Garcia has hired a new Constituent Services administrator for Monroe County to replace former area Director, Jennifer George-Nichol. Jennifer was asked to take on a new role in the Congressman’s Washington office as a legislative assistant. Congressman Garcia announced he has hired Florida Keys resident and committed public servant, Rita Cotter.

“We are pleased to have Rita join our team and lead the Monroe County office. Rita’s commitment to the Keys community and time spent working on some of the area’s biggest issues will serve as a solid foundation in her new role. While Jennifer will be missed in the Keys, there is no doubt Rita will excel in her new role, continuing to provide the same great service to our residents” said Garcia.

Jennifer George-Nichol will commence her new role as Legislative Assistant in Washington at the end of this year. She will apply the knowledge she has acquired, and relationships she has cultivated in the Keys, to her legislative responsibilities in Washington. She will visit the Keys regularly and will continue to work closely with the residents and leadership of Monroe County.
