BottleCap Lounge Fundraiser Benefits the Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition

The BottleCap Lounge will host a happy hour benefit for the Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition on Friday, May 2 from 5 to 8 pm. The event will feature ‘celebrity’ bartenders, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle, as well as the 7 pm drawing for our two Stay-cation fundraisers. Tickets for the Stay-cation drawing will be on sale from 5-7 pm that evening. They are also available beforehand by calling Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition at 305-293-8424. The generous donation of the bartenders’ tips, the proceeds from the silent auction and the drawing will support programs and services for healthy babies in the Keys. Items for the Silent Auction are valued at over $ 1,000 and include a photo canvas by Peter Green, jewelry from ZEN by Karen Moore, gift certificates for shopping, massages, water sport activities and more. The event is open to the public and free of charge. The Bottle Cap Lounge is located at 1128 Simonton Street Key West.

The Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition is the only organization in Monroe County that specifically helps families before, during and after pregnancy. The Healthy Babies program works in partnership with local obstetricians to assist uninsured or underinsured pregnant women in obtaining prenatal care. Healthy Start is a free program of services, provided in partnership with the Monroe County Health Department, available to at-risk babies and their families including care coordination, breastfeeding assistance, smoking cessation, nutritional guidance and more. The Keys for Kids’ Safety program provides community outreach initiatives and child safety resources including the well-known child safety seat events in the Keys, bicycle helmets and information on child safety at home.
