AIDS Help and Wesley House Collaborate Successfully
Wesley House Family Services and AIDS Help have successfully combined key positions to decrease costs, eliminate duplication of services among agencies, and provide more opportunities for our community.
The IT department of Wesley House, staff of two, and the IT department of AIDS Help, staff of one, combined successfully months ago to create one IT and Graphics Design department, led by Scott Shores. AIDS Help was searching for someone to help with its growing computer and phone system; Wesley House was beginning to look for someone to help do graphic designs for events, posters and logos. “It just makes since”, says Bryan Green, Board Chair of both Wesley House and AIDS Help, “this collaboration is a win/win for both agencies; increased services with decreased costs”.
The two charities have now made the decision to take a further step by merging outreach, volunteer and fundraising activities – three big undertakings for any agency. AIDS Help has always done a fantastic job with volunteers for their events. Terry Paulson, Volunteer Coordinator with AIDS Help, will now also be the Volunteer Coordinator for Wesley House. “I think this is a great partnership for AIDS Help and Wesley House”, says Scott Pridgen, Executive Director of AIDS Help. The combined team will be led by Jeremy Wilkerson, current Manager of Outreach and Fundraising with Wesley House. “AIDS Help is a wonderful organization and I am looking forward to working with Terry and the AIDS Help team”, says Jeremy. “I have been involved with them for several years; it is a great fit.”
This collaboration will create efficiency and enhance activities within both Agencies.
