Help Publish Landmark Breast Cancer Book, There’s Still Time…
“Women need ad campaigns and books that teach us which food supplements to use if we drink alcohol on a regular basis and want to protect our breasts from nasty effects of wine, beer and mixed drinks,” writes Key West author, Susan Wadia-Ells, in her groundbreaking book, Busting Breast Cancer, 7 Simple Steps to Protect our Daughters/Ourselves from this Unnecessary Disease.
As U.S. breast cancer rates continue to climb, especially in younger women, Wadia-Ells, founding director of the National Breast Cancer Prevention Project, describes many reasons why women do not need to amputate their cancer-free breasts to remain safe from breast cancer.
Last week the national project launched a 30 day funding campaign to publish this new paperback that can help women dramatically block breast cancer from ever happening to themselves or to their daughters.
Using the on-line crowd funding website, Indiegogo.com, Busting Breast Cancer has three more weeks to raise their basic $10,000 publishing budget. The funding campaign, called Stop Breast Cancer Before it Starts,” asks individuals to donate $12 or more and to ask 5 close friends to do the same. Each contributor receives an advance copy of the paperback in time for Christmas.
The book also reminds readers that the United States does not yet have a non-profit health care system. “Instead, we still have a for-profit sick care industry, with breast cancer detection, treatment and breast reconstruction now a booming $30 billion annual market. So women remain the only group with the self interest and the power to actually stop breast cancer before it starts.”
“This grassroots funding campaign lets us publish and promote this important new book,” said Roxanne Fleszar, a Key West resident and treasurer of the national non-profit group. Fleszar, a certified financial planner, and president of Financial Resources Management Corporation, began working with Wadia-Ells after a few of her closest friends were diagnosed with the disease. “None of us had much knowledge about what could cause breast cancer or about Busting Breast Cancer’s seven prevention steps.”
“Women have got to educate other women on how we can each stop breast cancer before it starts … nobody else seems willing,” Fleszar said.
The Busting Breast Cancer book is not about detection or treatment. The book is focused on teaching women how to actually help stop breast cancer before it starts.
“This means, our book project is not eligible for funding from most mainstream pink ribbon treatment or detection groups, such as the American Cancer Society or Susan G. Komen,” said Wadia-Ells, an experienced change agent and writer, with graduate degrees in economics, politics and autobiographical writing, who recently settled in Key West to complete this book project.
This new paperback, written after five years of researching the known, probable and possible causes of breast cancer, encourages women to use limited safe sun tanning and vitamin D3 supplements to achieve and maintain a D3 blood level between 50 and 90 ng/ml year-round. The book also encourages women to stop using any type of fertility, contraceptive or hormone replacement drugs that contain the chemical hormone, progestin. This manufactured substance has recently been shown to activate the protein RANKL, which initiates and accelerates the growth of cancerous breast tumors, while a woman is using any of these progestin drugs.
“These progestin drugs represent a multi billion dollar industry, with influence over many media outlets and funding sources. Our book may therefore be the first time women learn about this recent earth-shaking research,” said Wadia-Ells.
The more money raised in the next few weeks, the larger their initial print run. “If our Indiegogo funding project goes viral, we’ll have money to immediately publish tens of thousands of affordable copies, AND run a national advertising campaign teaching women Busting Breast Cancer’s 7 Simple Steps,” Fleszar said. “We need each person to tell five friends.”
