Ongoing Events:

Aqua Idol every Tuesday beginning August 26 – October 14, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – come support the candidates’ singers at Aqua Nightclub, 711 Duval Street.  75% of the monies collected will be split among the candidates and 25% would go to the campaign for which the winner is representing.  All monies will be donated to AIDS Help.  Free to attend!  All Candidates

Drag Queen Bingo at 801 Cabaret every Sunday from August 24 – October 12, 5:00 PM – Bingo at 801 Bourbon will divide all proceeds equally among the candidates.  All Candidates

Friday, September 19th, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – Most Outrageous Updo at Aqua Nightclub, 711 Duval St. We are inviting all the Salons in town to participate. Each Salon will have 30 minutes to create their masterpiece, and the winners will be determined by most $ votes and points. This one is going to be a SHOOT !!!!!! Friday, September 19th, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Clyde’s Choices-Party in the Parking Lot with special guest Howard Livingston!  Clyde has invited many of his favorite restaurants to join him and his friends at a Key West Parking Lot Party!  The Restaurant Store parking lot, 1111 Eaton St. will be full of fun, food and entertainment!  BYOLC (bring your own lawn chair) to sit in the VIP Area.  Cool off in the “Adults Only Kiddy Pools” and try some great food from local restaurants and food vendors.  $10 gets you in to enjoy the music and fun.  Purchase Tickets (for a small donation) to hang out in the VIP and Kiddy Pool Areas and sample some great food!  Clyde for King

Saturday, Sept. 20th, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Exploring Healthy Alternatives Brunch at 2 Cents Restaurant – 416 Applerouth Lane $25 includes mimosa. I’m teaming up with Chad Newman as he continues his quest to do the right things when it comes to food and diet. Chad started a program called “Too Fat to Fail” so we want to bring his ideas to the forefront as we explore some amazing new recipes from the chef and staff at 2 Cents. County fairs feel with burgers, dogs and fried chicken.  Homemade baked items for sale and carnival type games.  Get on your white trash garb and come on down. Saturday, September 27, 8:00 AM – Red Shirt Run – 5K Run/Walk at White Street Pier.  Refreshments, raffle, limited amount of red thundersticks and red shirt run shirts to be given out.  Awards to 5k runners: overall male and female winners, masters male and female winners, age group awards; 3 deep, male and female.  Two: 9 and under, 10 – 14, 15 -19 and ten year age group to 70+ 5K walkers male and female, 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  Race begins at White Street Pier at the Key West AIDS Memorial corner of White and Atlantic Blvd., north on Atlantic, right on Bertha Street, left onto S. Roosevelt (along Smathers Beach) and back to White Street Pier.  All miles and kilometers will be marked.  Pre-race packet pickup will be Friday, September 26th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM across from the White Street Pier, 1801 White Street.  Race Day check-in starts at 6:30 AM.  Registration on line available at redshirtrun.com or by contacting Jeremy at 305-440-2300 or Beth at 305-747-8563.  All Candidates

Thursday, October 2nd, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – Tropical Escapades & Trances, the Annual All Candidates Bash at the Bourbon St. Pub, 724 Duval St.  Join all of the candidates at this Meet & Greet Party! A $25 donation gets you into the party and the chance to vote for your favorite candidate. This event is always a great boost for moral and the campaign coffers toward the end of a very grueling campaign schedule.  Enjoy free tropical drinks while socializing with your friends.  All Candidates

Monday, September 22nd, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM – LAZY GECKO RACING at The Lazy Gecko, 203 Duval St.  This is the first of four race days, September 22 & 29, October 6 & 13 where you can watch Key West geckos “race” to see which one comes in LAST and is the Laziest Gecko of All!  Will it be Leaping Lizzie, Peppy Peter, Napping Nichole or Racing Rich….who is the Laziest Gecko?  Make your selections, buy your tickets and watch as they battle it out to be the last one over the finish line!  Fun Prizes, Raffles and more!  Don’t forget Happy Hour, 2 for 1 drinks from 3-8pm.  Free to attend.  Clyde for King

Thursday, September 25th, 7:00 PM -?Key West Christmas in September Trolley at Bobby’s Monkey Bar, 900 Simonton St.  Calling all Santas, Elves and Reindeer!  It’s time to dust off your Christmas costumes and join us for some early holiday cheer!  Jump on the Holly Jolly Christmas Trolley and visit some of Key West’s finest holiday displays (that were never taken down from LAST Christmas!).  Enjoy four stops along the way with some of Key West’s favorite characters for jello shots and Christmas treats.  Return to Bobby’s Monkey Bar for drinks and Christmas Carol Karaoke!!  Prizes for best costumes!  $25 includes snacks before the trolley ride, 2 drinks and the festive trolley ride!  50/50 and Prize Raffles!  The Holly Jolly Christmas Trolley departs promptly at 8pm!  Clyde for King

September 28th, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM- Clyde’s Ride, A KW Bar Card Bike Stroll.  Decorate your Conch Cruiser and meet at Bayview Park to ride to the first of SIX favorite Key West bars.  All riders receive their own Key West Bar Card to use after the stroll and an Official Clyde For King Koozie.  Each stop will feature a special 1/2 price libation.  Clyde’s Ride starts promptly at 1pm.  Decorated Bikes and Costumes encouraged.  Prize Raffle.  $20 suggested donation.  Clyde for King
